The Tom Robb Memorial Trail Race is an annual race run in memory of Tom Robb, who lived and farmed near the Carron Valley for over 50 years. The annual race is organised by Tom’s family and raises funds for Alzheimer Scotland and Ochils Mountain Rescue, to support the amazing work they do. VRG are delighted to support the cost of organising the race with an annual grant.

Information available here: 2023 Tom Robb Memorial Race

The seven mile race takes place along the scenic trails of the Carron Valley forest, with 150 runners and is a sell out event. It is a managed under UK Athletics rules and is a Scottish Athletics Licensed event.  In 2019 it raised £3447.31 for the charities which it supports.

Those who wish to entry should keep an eye on the race’s Facebook page and website, where you can also see some great photos of past races. The 2023 race will take place on Saturday 26th August, we wish all those taking part the best of luck and congratulate them on taking on this challenge.
