Felling in Community Woodland

Contractors working in the woodland over the summer.

Felling will be taking place in the woodland north of the firewood processing area.

The felling is due to commence 8th June and may take as long as the end of August as smaller machines will be in use. Some of the timber will be sold to cover the cost of felling but a lot will be left for future woodfuel days.

During this period, there may be a caravan belonging to the contractors sited at the processing area so it does have permission.

There is no closures of the bike route or the tracks. However there may be short closures of the woodland to the north of the forest road..

Please be aware and follow instructions of the machine operators.
